who we are
Shannon studied Theology at Oxford University in England and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with a minor in Philosophy from Azusa Pacific University.
Until the birth of her son in September of 2010, Shannon worked as a District Representative for Ventura County Supervisor Peter Foy where she was committed to fighting on behalf of the constituents under her care.
As the President and Spokeswoman for Forever Found, Shannon has been featured in newspapers, online journals, radio stations and talk shows to raise the awareness of child trafficking and prostitution. Shannon has devoted her talents as a singer, songwriter and author to further the rescue and restoration of children trapped in sexual slavery.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Shannon lives each day with the desire to follow him and love his people as he has commanded. Her goal in life is to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” Matthew 25:23.
Outside of Forever Found, Shannon serves on the Board of Directors for the Museum of Christian History and Archaeology. She and her husband Taylor live in Simi Valley, California with their sons Jace and Liam.
As co-founder of Forever Found, husband, father and business man, Taylor Sergey brings a unique perspective to the Forever Found Board.
Mr. Sergey received his B.S. in Business Marketing from Azusa Pacific University in 2007. Proceeding his graduation from APU, Mr. Sergey spent several years gaining business and management experience at L.A. Fitness, Osteem Dental Impants, Inc., and currently serves as the West Coast Sales Manager for Applied Medical Technologies. He is known to consistently go out of his way for the benefit of his clients and their patients - children who are forced to live life with gastrointestinal tubes used to facilitate feeding.
As a long time member of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, Taylor had the opportunity to grow aware of the horrific reality of human trafficking, and desires to use his skills and devotion to further the mission of Forever Found.

Dionne has been a lifelong resident of the Conejo Valley and the wife of a fireman for nearly 20 years. She and Derek have three children, Caden, Avalon, and Rider; a dog, Buster Brown; and a very old tortoise, Leo, who roams the yard.
Dionne has worn many hats, beginning with an equestrian helmet throughout her teen years and beyond, where she competed, then trained, then began a business rehabilitating injured horses. She continued in the field of rehabilitation, moving into the challenging, but rewarding position of Office Manager for Newbury Park Physical Therapy, where she managed the front office crew, as well as the financials, for more than a decade.
She and her family attend Christian Church of Thousand Oaks, where she was baptized at the ripe age of 8. The opportunity to work at Forever Found has been an answer to prayer, as Dionne is able to use her gifts of creativity, organization, and leadership to help this worthwhile cause.

A lifelong California resident, Katie has worked for several nonprofits serving people affected by poverty, homelessness, and disability. She first learned about human trafficking over ten years ago while researching international crisis aid relief strategies. After training and volunteering in the anti-trafficking field, Katie came on board with Forever Found in fall 2014 to start the Local Programs in Ventura County.
Katie holds a Bachelor's in Communication Studies and a Master's in Social Work, both from the California State University system. She serves as a board member of Hope Rising, an anti-trafficking ministiry in the Houston area, and enjoys being a part of Conejo Church in Newbury Park.
An ardent abolitionist, Katie also enjoys being married to her favorite feminest, dallying with friends, thrifting, traveling, and chomping on (ethically sourced!) dark chocolate. Isaiah 58 is her life passage.
Local Program Coordinator
Vicki assists our Local Program Director in educating and promoting human trafficking advocates in Ventura County. She felt led to serve in this area after learning that the tragedy of human trafficking is not just an overseas crisis, but is happening right here in our own community.
Due to her heart for the underprivileged, both homeless and children, Vicki has served at Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission and Storehouse Ministries for the past six years. She has also been a volunteer at our partner thrift store, Second Story, for the past year.
With her educational background in business and early childhood education, Vicki presently teaches preschool part-time in addition to her employment with Forever Found. For her enjoyment, Vicki is the drama ministry director at her church and is in her sixth year of Bible Study Fellowship.
She and her husband Alan have lived in Simi Valley for 25 years and have three twenty-something daughters, Jillian, Megan & Danielle.
A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, Vicki lives each day with the desire to be obedient to Him by serving His people, all to His glory.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31
International Programs Director
Heather holds a Master’s Degree from SIT Graduate Institute in Vermont, where her studies focused on intercultural service, leadership, and management. Through her graduate program, she had the opportunity to live and work in Cambodia in 2012, aiding in the fight against human trafficking. Heather knows that the Lord was preparing her for the work she is doing today with Forever Found.
In her free time, Heather enjoys riding bikes with her husband, reading, and cooking. She and her husband both grew up in Simi Valley and have attended Cornerstone Simi for the past three years.
So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:31-34)

Shawna started out as an intern for Forever Found, and after about a year she became an official staff member. She is currently an undergraduate student at California Lutheran University, majoring in Psycho-biology. Her ultimate goal is to go into research, but her specific interests lie in the cognitive and neurological processes of both human trafficking perpetrators and victims. She ultimately hopes to help in the advancements of treatment in victims of abuse, and the identification of abusers. Shawna has always held a desire to help those in need, spending over a year volunteering and eventually interning at the Free Clinic of Simi Valley before starting her internship at Forever Found. She is proud and excited to be working for such an amazing cause.
